Much of the upcoming work week is something special weatherwise with day after day of beautiful sunshine and low humidity.  But before we get to the really good stuff, we have to first get through today.  But today – on balance  - isn’t bad. An isolated thundershower may flare-up – but generally it’s dry and less humid. Looking ahead to next weekend, Saturday looks good for the most part, but Sunday’s forecast may turn tricky.

Today (Monday): Any showers or storms leftover from the overnight activity should depart early this morning. The humidity then drops as we head through the day, as winds from the west increase to near 15-20 mph with some higher gusts. Highs hit the mid-80s under partly sunny skies, and we can’t rule out the chance (about 25%) of an isolated late afternoon thundershower. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: Other than the slight (20%) chance of an early-evening shower or thundershower, we have a partly cloudy and plenty nice night on the way. The humidity continues to plummet as winds diminish from the northwest. Overnight lows are quite pleasant, in the upper 50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium-High

nice dayTomorrow (Tuesday): Wow- we don’t see many days like this in late July.  Beautiful sunshine combines with low humidity and a breeze to make for a near perfect day.  Highs struggle to make 80, with winds from the northwest at around 10 mph. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Take a taste of September.  Under clear skies and light winds, lows range from near 50 in our cooler suburbs to near 60 downtown. Confidence: High

A LOOK AHEAD

Wednesday through Friday should all be top notch days.  Under partly to mostly sunny skies, highs are generally in the 80-85 range (closer to 80 Wednesday and 85 by Friday), with low-to-moderate humidity.  Overnight lows are refreshing, mostly from the mid-50s in our cooler suburbs to the mid-60s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

We may see a bit more in the way of cloud cover and humidity by Saturday, but most of us should have a reasonably pleasant day.  Highs should be mostly in the low-to-mid 80s, with just an outside chance of a thundershower in the late afternoon to evening time period.  Partly cloudy Saturday night, with lows in the 60s. Confidence: Medium

Sunday is a bit of a wildcard.  We may see a surge of tropical moisture move up the East Coast, with showers and storms, especially by evening; but this is no guarantee and timing it this far out is difficult.  Highs should again by the 80-85-degree range.  Confidence: Low-Medium
