Let’s keep this short: tonight and Friday will be sweet.

Through Tonight: I hope you have a chance to spend some time outside this evening. Skies are mostly clear, humidity is low and temperatures are extremely comfortable. Evening readings fall through the 70s, with overnight lows from the mid-to-upper 50s in our cooler suburbs to the mid-60s downtown. Calm winds.

Tomorrow (Friday): High pressure parked to our north helps funnel in a delightfully cool, fresh breeze that blends blissfully with the strong early August sunshine. Highs are in the low-to-mid 80s, with low humidity (dew points in the mid-50s). Winds are from the north and northeast at 5-10 mph.

Smoky sunset watch: The sunset tonight may be special tonight, aided by the smoke from the horrible Canadian wildfires.
