Alexander Semin leaves practice early

Winger Alexander Semin left practice with an undisclosed injury, but Coach Bruce Boudreau said he did not believe it to be serious.

"According to Alexander Semin, he's fine," Boudreau said. "He felt something today, and he said it's better to be maintenance free, not push it, and he'll be fine tomorrow, according to the trainers."

Boudreau refused to elaborate on the nature of the ailment, but Semin has missed time recently with a right wrist injury.

Mike Knuble took Semin's place during practice, joining Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom on the top line.
