Alexander Semin named NHL's third star of the week

With four goals and four assists in the Capitals quartet of games this past week, Alexander Semin was named the NHL's third star of the week. Semin ranks second in the NHL in goals with 13 and fourth in points with 23.

Surpassing Semin in the weekly accolade as first and second stars, respectively, are Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, who went 3-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .970 save percentage this past week, and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, who posted eight points in three games.
