As Winter Classic rush wears off, Capitals turn focus to reclaiming Southeast Division

Party's over. The Winter Classic was an uplifting game for the Capitals, but now we're getting into "the guts of the season," as winger Mike Knuble put it Monday at practice. Forty down, 42 to go.

Washington must now focus on its game Tuesday against the Southeast Division's Tampa Bay Lightning, who are tied with the Capitals with 51 points. The Lightning are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games.

"I like the fact that we're in a race," Knuble said. "I think it's gonna be good for us -- makes you play harder every night. The Tampa game gets your attention...because it matters in the standings. So I think overall, it's gonna be good for us going down the line."
