Boudreau on Jay Beagle concussion: ’You can infer whatever you want to infer’

Fourth line winger Jay Beagle did not make the trip to Philadelphia with the Capitals, making Thursday the sixth consecutive day of practice that the Calgary native has missed since being knocked out by Pittsburgh's Arron Asham on Oct. 13.

Just as the Capitals took the ice for their morning skate at Wells Fargo Center, Coach Bruce Boudreau was asked if Beagle has a concussion.

"You can infer whatever you want to infer," Boudreau said. "We're just saying it's day to day."

The day after Beagle was knocked unconscious by Asham's punch, Boudreau said Beagle wasn't experiencing concussion symptoms at that time. That doesn't mean they might not have developed as time progressed, though. Beagle has not skated since the game against the Penguins.
