Boudreau: Semin a game-time decision against Montreal

Coach Bruce Boudreau said Alexander Semin (groin) will be a game-time decision for tonight's contest against the Montreal Canadiens. Semin, who hasn't appeared in a game since Jan. 8 against Florida, did stay out on the ice longer than the majority of his teammates but did not skate on his own for too much time.

--Semyon Varlamov was the first goaltender off the ice so it looks like he will start against the Canadiens. Meanwhile, according to a tweet from ESPN's Pierre LeBrun Carey Price's equipment did not arrive in Washington after the all-star game but he is expected to start for Montreal.

--D.J. King was also on the ice for extra work briefly but didn't stay out for a normal full-length scratches skate.

--Tyler Sloan, who practiced with the team yesterday, has been officially recalled which gives the Capitals 22 players on the active roster without counting Semin, Eric Fehr and Tom Poti, who were all on injured reserve as of Jan. 26 against the Thrashers.

More to come.
