Brooks Laich on Capitals’ top line in practice

Mike Knuble and Dennis Wideman are the only players not on the ice for the Capitals’ practice at KCI this morning, which may have the largest spectator attendance since training camp. Both Knuble, who is out with a suspected right hand injury, and Wideman, who is still recovering from his leg hematoma, skated early before the rest of the group went on the ice.

The lines look like they did toward the latter half of Game 4 with Brooks Laich skating on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. All nine (healthy) defensemen are on the ice.

The lines are as follows:

Ovechkin-Backstrom-Laich

Sturm-Arnott-Semin

Chimera-Johansson-Fehr-Beagle

Hendricks-Gordon-Bradley-King
