Capitals assign Cody Eakin to Hershey

The Capitals announced this morning that they have reassigned forward Cody Eakin to Hershey.

Eakin, 20, was a healthy scratch last night in a 2-1 loss at Colorado. He has six points (three goals, three assists) and a plus-two rating in 19 games with the Capitals.

It’s unclear whether the move is in conjuction with another. The Bears play today at 5 p.m.
