Some quick notes from Capitals’ practice, which is underway at Kettler Capitals Iceplex:
--Every player, and I mean every player, was on the ice for the start of the session this morning including Mike Green (concussion), who is skating for a third consecutive day.
--Semyon Varlamov (knee) was working out with goaltending coach Arturs Irbe before the rest of the team hit the ice and he remained out for about 15 minutes of formal practice. Both Michal Neuvirth and Braden Holtby are practicing as well.
--Nicklas Backstrom (fractured thumb) is wearing an orange no-contact jersey.
--Lines this morning are the same as they have been the past two games:

Chimera-Laich-Fehr-Beagle
Hendricks-Gordon-Bradley-King
All nine defensemen are skating.
