Capitals morning skate notes: Michal Neuvirth to start vs. Jets

Update, 1:10 p.m.: Michal Neuvirth is the first goaltender off the ice for the Capitals, so it looks like he'll start against the Jets.

Washington’s morning skate is underway at MTS Centre and based on the line rushes here, it doesn’t look like there will be any alteration to the lineup for tonight’s game against the Jets.

Every player — except for Mike Green, who is not with the team in Winnipeg because he is visiting a specialist about his strained right groin muscle — is on the ice and the line combinations and defensive pairings were the same as they were the previous three contests.

Matt Hendricks did not take part in the line drills and it appears as though the fourth-line winger will miss a fourth consecutive game with an injured right knee. Jay Beagle (concussion) also took part in the skate but he has not yet been cleared for contact and thus will not be in the lineup.

The lines this morning were:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Semin
Brouwer-Johansson-Halpern
Chimera-Laich-Ward
Eakin-Perreault-Knuble

Alzner-Carlson
Erskine-Wideman
Hamrlik-Orlov

Jeff Schultz rotated in during the drills and rushes.
