Capitals’ Roman Hamrlik out tonight vs. Panthers

Roman Hamrlik participated in the morning skate but the defenseman will miss his third consecutive game with a lower-body injury, according to Coach Dale Hunter.

Hamrlik returned to the ice for the first time since Thursday and took line rushes with his teammates at BankAtlantic Center, where he appeared to be moving well.

“He’s not going to go,” Hunter said. “He’s day to day.”

With Hamrlik out, the defensive pairs will remain the same for tonight's game against the Panthers.

Hamrlik has struggled in his first season with the Capitals. Through 23 games, the 37-year-old has 1 goal, no assists and a team-worst minus-10.
