Capitals tweak lines ahead of Game 3 against Bruins

All of the Capitals expected to suit up in Game 3 against Boston tonight at Verizon Center are on the ice at KCI for the morning skate.

There are a few tweaks to the line combinations, though.
Ovechkin-Laich-Brouwer
Johansson-Backstrom-Semin
Chimera-Beagle-Perreault
Aucoin-Hendricks-Ward

— Likely forward scratches Mike Knuble, Jeff Halpern, Cody Eakin and Mattias Sjogren are all on the ice as well.

— The defensemen didn’t skate in pairs, but all eight are on the ice this morning.

Update: It doesn’t appear that there will be any alterations to the Capitals’ blueline for Game 3. Dmitry Orlov is out on the ice for extra work, which means he’ll be out and Jeff Schultz will remain in the lineup.

— Braden Holtby and Dany Sabourin are the only goaltenders skating with the group. Haven’t seen Michal Neuvirth (left leg) or Tomas Vokoun (groin) yet, but it’s possible they could come out after the main session wraps up.

Update: Michal Neuvirth has taken to the ice as the main skate winds down. He’s working with goaltending coach Dave Prior and it appears as though he’ll take shots from the scratches.

Update: Tomas Vokoun (groin) is on the ice for some light skating now that the rest of the team, scratches and all, have headed in to the dressing room. The veteran netminder isn’t doing much right now, just a little skating and a few half-speed slides across the crease.
