Dennis Wideman selected to Team Chara for NHL All Star game

In the All Star fantasy draft Thursday night, Capitals’ defenseman Dennis Wideman was selected to Zdeno Chara’s team. Wideman was one of the last two defensemen chosen, along with Vancouver’s Alexander Edler.

As for who went last overall, Mr. Irrelevant of the 2012 All Star draft was San Jose’s Logan Couture.
