Hockey Hall of Fame: Ed Belfour, Doug Gilmour, Mark Howe, Joe Nieuwendyk elected

Goalie Ed Belfour, who won 484 games and helped the Dallas Stars win the Stanley Cup in 1999, will be enshrined in his first year of eligibility, the Hockey Hall of Fame committee announced Tuesday.

Belfour will be joined by Dallas General Manager and three-time Stanley Cup winner Joe Nieuwendyk; Doug Gilmour, who amassed 1,414 points and 450 goals in a 20-year NHL career; and six-time all-star Mark Howe.

The induction will take place Nov. 14 in Toronto.
