A day after recording his second NHL shutout, Capitals rookie goaltender Braden Holtby was reassigned to Hershey. The move likely means that Michael Neuvirth, who fell ill on Friday, is feeling better and will be available to at least serve as a backup on Tuesday when Washington hosts the Carolina Hurricanes.
Holtby was recalled from Hershey on Saturday morning, started that evening in Montreal, and made 18 saves in the Caps’ 2-0 win, their 14th victory in the last 17 games.
