Jason Chimera on second line

After a long delay in Salt Lake City because of snow, I just arrived at HP Pavilion in time to catch the final few minutes of practice.

One thing stood out immediately -- newly acquired winger Jason Chimera is skating on the second line, not the third as expected. Here's what Coach Bruce Boudreau's revamped forward combos look like:

Ovechkin-Morrison-Knuble
Chimera-Backstrom-Semin
Fleischmann-Laich-Fehr
Laing-Steckel/Gordon-Bradley

I'll have more in my story for tomorrow's paper.
