Line Change: Is it too soon for Alex Ovechkin, Jason Arnott to return from injuries?

Star left wing Alex Ovechkin and veteran center Jason Arnott participated in this morning’s skate at KCI, and though Coach Bruce Boudreau wouldn’t say either way, it seems both could be in the Capitals’ lineup tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Ovechkin has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury he said has bothered him for two months, while Arnott missed the team’s six-game road trip with a lower-body injury that is in addition to a groin ailment.

The Capitals, of course, locked up a playoff spot last week, and they’ve got seven points on Tampa Bay in the Southeast Division. Do you worry that they’re rushing two of their top-six forwards back into the lineup when they could perhaps use some more time off to heal up? Or is it more important to develop chemistry in the six remaining regular-season games?
