Capitals netminder Michal Neuvirth has attempted to clarify some comments he made about his teammates that were reported on a Czech Web site, iSport.cz, earlier this week.
In that interview, Neuvirth was quoted calling Braden Holtby his “weakest competition” and saying Alex Ovechkin “isn’t what he used to be.”
In a subsequent interview conducted by Mike Vogel at Kettler Iceplex, Neuvirth said “there was some misunderstanding” and that the Czech Web site “change my meaning a lot. . . . I was talking about the boys in a good way.”
