Open thread: Capitals at Senators

logologo

Alex Ovechkin will miss tonight’s game with a lower-body injury as the Capitals look to bounce back from one of their worst performances of the season.

Regardless of who is in or out of the lineup for the Capitals, there are two important points up for grabs tonight at Scotiabank Place. A win against the Senators would help Washington keep pace with the pack in the Southeast and the race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Chat about the game in the comments section below and check back here soon for Washington’s lineup.

Faceoff: 7 p.m., Scotiabank Place | TV: CSN+ | Radio: 1500 AM

Based on warmup here is what the lineup should look like against the Senators:

Forwards
Knuble-Laich-Brouwer
Hendricks-Perreault-Semin
Chimera-Johansson-Aucoin
Beagle-Halpern-Ward

Defense
Alzner-Carlson
Orlov-Wideman
Schultz-Green

Goal
Vokoun
Neuvirth

Scratches: Alex Ovechkin (lower-body injury), Roman Hamrlik and John Erskine.

Injured reserve: Nicklas Backstrom (concussion).
