Open thread: Capitals vs. Bruins

logologo

The Capitals face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins for the first time in the 2011-12 season Tuesday in a game that marks the first time Washington will be without Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green in the lineup since the three players’ NHL careers began.

Ovechkin, who will not attend the NHL All Star game, is serving the first game of his three-game suspension for his charge against Pittsburgh’s Zbynek Michalek on Sunday, while Backstrom is out indefinitely with a concussion and Green is recovering from sports hernia surgery.

Chat about the game in the comments section below.
