Open thread: Capitals vs. Senators

logologo

The Capitals are riding a four-game losing streak as heading into their tilt with Ottawa and Dale Hunter is still in search of his first win as an NHL coach. Washington, which has been held to just one goal in each of Hunter’s first two games behind the bench, will be without Alexander Semin against the Senators as the Russian winger has an injured right shoulder.

Chat about the game in the comments section below and check back soon for Washington’s lineup.

Faceoff: 7 p.m., Verizon Center | TV: CSN | Radio: 1500 AM

Based on warmup here’s what the lineup should look like against the Senators:

Forwards
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Brouwer
Eakin-Johansson-Knuble
Chimera-Laich-Ward
Hendricks-Perreault-Halpern

Defense
Alzner-Carlson
Erskine-Wideman
Schultz-Orlov

Goal
Neuvirth
Vokoun

Scratches: Alexander Semin (right shoulder), Roman Hamrlik (undisclosed lower-body injury) and Mike Green (strained right groin muscle).
