The Caps just started practice at KCI and Tom Poti is perhaps the only unexpected player missing from the ice. Neither Matt Bradley, who will be out 2-4 weeks with a broken finger, nor Boyd Gordon (undisclosed) are skating.
Eric Fehr is back after spending time with his family following the death of his grandmother and so is Matt Hendricks, who missed the game against the Devils with an injury the details of which were not disclosed by the team. Jeff Schultz (fractured thumb) is taking part in practice.
In other news, USA Hockey announced the final roster for the National Junior Team that will compete at the World Junior Championship in Buffalo Dec. 26-Jan. 1. Included on the roster is Capitals' defensive prospect Patrick Wey, a fourth-round draft pick from 2009 who is in his sophomore year at Boston College.
