There's always something unsettling for a team facing an opponent that just suffered an ugly loss the day before. The Blues showed some resiliency last night but ultimately fell to Chicago, 7-5.
"The pitfalls are they got smoked last night," Coach Bruce Boudreau said when asked about facing St. Louis, which started the season hot but is 3-7-1 in their past 11 games. "I never want to play a team that got beat pretty bad the night before because in 24 hours they can make it all go away. You know they're going to come out here loaded for bear."
Jaroslav Halak will be in net for the Blues while Semyon Varlamov starts his fourth consecutive game for the Caps.
