Open thread: Capitals at Lightning

After far too long a wait, Washington is set to kick off a new season. The Capitals visit Tampa Bay in search of a positive start under first-year Coach Adam Oates, who makes his debut against the team he started his coaching career with during the 2009-10 season.

Washington will use seven defensemen, including Tom Poti, tonight as Oates tries to ease the group’s transition back to game action after the long layoff. Chat about the game in the comment section below.
