Open thread: Capitals vs. Maple Leafs

February 5, 2013

(Nathan Denette/Associated Press) Michal Neuvirth makes a save against James van Riemsdyk last week in Toronto.

Washington faces the Maple Leafs five days after coughing up a lead and two points in a 3-2 loss at Air Canada Centre. Once again, the Capitals are looking to get back on a winning track and perhaps some improved special teams play would push them over the hum.

Coach Adam Oates will turn to Michal Neuvirth in net against Toronto. When the two teams met last week, Neuvirth stopped 37 of the 40 shots he faced in what was an unorganized game by both sides.

Discuss the game in the comment section below.
