Braden Holtby (7-5-0, 2.60 goals-against average, .925 save percentage) gets the start Sunday night as the Capitals take on the Avalanche, who at 13-2-0 own the second-best record in the NHL. Colorado will go with Semyon Varlamov (8-2-0, 2.10 goals-against average, .933 save percentage). When he last faced his former team on Oct. 12, Varlamov recorded 40 saves in a 5-1 Avalanche win at Verizon Center.
