‘A Fantastic Fear of Everything’ trailer: Simon Pegg is scared of a stuffed hedgehog

A still from “A Fantastic Fear.” (Universal Pictures via Simon Pegg’s Twitter account)
In the trailer for the British indie “A Fantastic Fear of Everything,” Simon Pegg tells a man in a pirate’s hat that his earliest memory is his orphanage being on fire. Somehow this is funny.

Pegg, of “Shaun of the Dead” and “Star Trek” fame, plays a children’s author who becomes a crime novelist. His research into serial killers causes him to become afraid of everything and extremely paranoid.

To overcome his many fears, he must face a sinister-looking stuffed hedgehog and a launderette (that’s a laundromat, to the Yanks out there.)

The entertaining, at times surreal, trailer is the good news. The bad news is the film doesn’t have a release date in the United States at this time.

But let’s not dwell on the negative. Enjoy the trailer, via Pegg’s Twitter account, below.
