Adam Lambert blames arrest on alcohol, jet lag

Adam Lambert and his boyfriend of one year, reality star Sauli Koskinen, were arrested Thursday for fighting outside a bar in Helsinki, as was noted in Celebritology’s morning mix.

Police investigator Petri Juvonen told the Hollywood Reporter the two men were released Thursday afternoon after being questioned about “four possible assault offenses.” No charges will be brought against the couple, according to TMZ.

The “American Idol” runner-up took to Twitter to explain what happened:

“Jetlag + Vodka = blackout. Us + blackout = irrational confusion. jail + guilt + press= lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+ hangover burgers = laughing bout it. :)”

Koskinen, who won Finland’s “Big Brother” in 2007, addressed the arrest on his blog, writing (translated by Google), “Publicity is not easy. But celebrities are only human people. Love is not easy but it is forever!”
