Add Ray Romano to the list of people not replacing Steve Carell on ‘The Office’

Steve Carell, about to hang up on “The Office.” (JUSTIN LUBIN - AP)
As we prepare for Steve Carell’s final episode of “The Office,” airing tomorrow night, we can cross one more candidate off the list of possible Michael Scott replacements. Ray Romano has confirmed that he will not replace Carell, despite guest-starring in the season finale. “It’s a cameo,” the actor told Zap2it. “It's real quick, a drive-by.”

(“It’s real quick, a drive-by.” Um, that’s what she said?)

But seriously ... we also know that Will Ferrell, who is currently guest-starring as new boss DeAngelo Vickers, likely will not be sticking around past this season. So who will be the new manager of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch? It remains a mystery.

All we know is that we remain sad to see Michael Scott go. And we’ll be sending him off in style tomorrow here in Celebritology with a very special quiz.
