Adele may have made her name with songs about heartbreak and relationship woes. But it seems her next batch of tunes will be lullabies.
The 24-year-old singer said on her Web site Friday that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki are going to be parents.
“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” Adele said in a blog post titled “I’ve Got Some News.” “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time.”
Adele’s rep at Columbia Records confirmed the news to Celebritology.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer, who won six Grammys this year thanks to her album “21,” and Konecki, 36, have been dating since last summer, according to the Huffington Post.
