Alec Baldwin keeps mayoral rumors alive on Twitter

Alec Baldwin asked a simple question on his Twitter on Tuesday: “Who should be the next mayor of the City of New York?”

“You, Alec!” was the resounding tweeted response.

Since the June resignation of Rep. Anthony Weiner, who was once considered the top contender in New York’s mayoral race, there’s been some buzz that the “30 Rock” actor could run in 2013.

But it seems that the tweet wasn’t a hint at his candidacy — or an attempt to get compliments. “No ... seriously. Who? Lay it on me.”
