Alleged Scarlett Johansson hacker, Christopher Chaney, to plead guilty; ‘Smash’ renewed, needs a showrunner

Christopher Chaney, the 35-year-old Florida man accused of hacking into the e-mail accounts of Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and other Hollywood stars, will plead guilty in court Monday to nine felony counts, including charges of computer hacking and illegal wire-tapping, according to documents filed yesterday. He faces up to 60 years behind bars.

Chaney apologized to his alleged victims in an interview conducted shortly after his indictment in October:“I know what I did was probably the worst invasion of privacy someone could experience. ... I’m not trying to escape what I did. It was wrong. And I have to just face that and go forward.” He claimed he did not leak nude photos of Johansson online. (Associated Press)

Smash ” has been renewed by NBC for a second season. The show’s creator Theresa Rebeck will step down as showrunner, but will reportedly stay on as a writer and executive producer. (Deadline; Vulture)

A rep. for Ray J, the singer and “close friend” of Whitney Houston, has denied claims that he knew Houston was doing cocaine again at the time of her death, as Houston’s autopsy revealed. Leolah Brown, the sister of Houston’s ex-husband Bobby Brown, implied on HLN’s “Dr. Drew” that Ray J was aware of Houston’s drug use. (TMZ)
