Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and Gossip Cop.
The actress allegedly side-swiped a cop car in West Hollywood while trying to pass it and was pulled over, according to Gossip Cop. She was arrested around 3 a.m.
Bynes’s bail is set at $5,000, according to a booking sheet available on the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Web site. She has been released from jail, as video from TMZ shows.
The 26-year-old — perhaps best known for her time on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and “The Amanda Show” — last regularly appeared on TV in the series “What I Like About You.” She was featured in the 2010 film “Easy A.”
Bynes’s publicist has not responded to a request for comment.
