“American Psycho,” the satirical novel turned film about a Wall Street banker who commits horrendous crimes, is reportedly getting a remake, and author Bret Easton Ellis has a rather great casting suggestion.
Lionsgate has reportedly hired a writer to work on a new adaptation of Ellis’s 1991 novel, according to Variety. The original 2000 film version starred Christian Bale as title crazy person, Patrick Bateman.
Scott Disick, baby daddy of Kourtney Kardashian who strongly resembles Bale’s Bateman, caught wind of the news and tweeted, “Just heard there doing a remake of American Psycho! best news i have ever heard! i hope they call me!”
The author then tweeted, “I am waiting for Scott Disick to ask: ‘Who in the hell is Bret Easton Ellis?’ ” Sorry, Bret. Disick responded, “Not going to happen, I know just who u r!”
