Beyonce sets dates for post-baby return to the stage; Jared Padalecki and wife welcome son

Beyonce has set the dates for her post-baby performances. They will take place over Memorial Day weekend during a trio of concerts at the new Revel resort in Atlantic City. Tickets for the shows, to be performed May 25, 26 and 27, go on sale April 6. (Associated Press)

In other Beyonce-related news, the singer wore a Victoria Beckham dress to Monday night’s Manhattan fundraiser hosted by Michelle Obama. She looked trim even though she just gave birth in January. Naturally, this is evidence of some kind of conspiracy. (Daily Mail)

Jared Padalecki , star of “Supernatural,” and his wife Genevieve Cortese have welcomed a baby boy. The child was born Monday; no name has been announced yet. (Us)

More specifics about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony have been announced. Chuck D will officially induct the Beastie Boys, while Chris Rock will handle those duties for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. (He directed and appeared in one of their videos.) It’s still unclear which members of Guns ‘N Roses will show up for the ceremony. (MTV)

In case this wasn’t already clear, “ John Carter ” was a massive flop for Disney. The studio announced Monday that it will record a loss of $200 million on the Taylor Kitsch epic, which cost about $350 million to make and market. That makes it one of the biggest box office disasters in Hollywood history. Uh, congrats? (AP)

Jessica Alba is writing a book. “The Honest Life,” a guide based on Alba’s desire to create a non-toxic existence for her and her family, arrives on bookshelves in early 2013. (People)

Walking Dead ” snagged 9 million viewers for its season 2 finale on Sunday night. According to Nielsen ratings, it was the most watched episode of a basic cable drama ever in certain demographics, including viewers under the age of 49. (AP)
