A morning mix of entertainment headlines...

Bob Welch, a guitarist and singer for Fleetwood Mac in the band’s early days, was found dead Thursday of what police say was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The 65-year-old musician, whose body was found by his wife, reportedly suffered from unspecified health issues in recent years. He is the second member of Fleetwood Mac to die this year; Bob Weston, also a former guitarist for the band, died in January.

Although Welch may be best known for his work with Mac between 1971 and 1974, he also had a successful solo career in the ’70s that spawned hits like “Ebony Eyes” and “Sentimental Lady.” (Associated Press; Reuters)

— Rumors have circulated that Angelina Jolie might be interested in directing the film adaptation of “ Fifty Shades of Grey .” But so far, these seem to be nothing more than rumors. Deadline reports that reps at Universal, the studio behind “Grey,” say there have been no conversations with Jolie, but they are interested in discussing the project with her if she is interested. Jolie has not publicly indicated a desire to take on the project.

Lady Gaga tweeted some news early this morning about her next album: “Exciting news little monsters! I’ve played my new record for my label and will be announcing my new Album Title in September!” (@LadyGaga)

Justin Long, who I will forever refer to as Warren P. Cheswick because of this show, is reportedly dating Kate Mara (“127 Hours,” “American Horror Story,” sister of Rooney). Us Magazine reports that the actors are in a “very new” relationship. (Us)

— Prior to concluding his fundraising trip to L.A., President Obama met yesterday with a group of actors to encourage them to help with his reelection campaign. The meeting was reportedly part of the campaign’s “Young America Effort.” Among the famous faces in the room: Jeremy Renner, Jessica Alba, “Glee’s” Dianna Agron, Zachary Quinto and Ian Somerhalder. FYI: Tom Hiddleston (Loki from “The Avengers,” among other things) is really good at impressions. Especially Owen Wilson. (Tastefully Offensive via Best Week Ever)

Buzzfeed has compiled a list called “25 Things You Didn’t Know About ‘ Mad Men ’ That Will Blow Your Mind.” You probably already know at least 10 of them, but it’s still fun to read. (Buzzfeed)
