Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not getting married

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: wedding rumors denied. (Chris Pizzello - AP)
Remember the Us Magazine report that breathlessly declared that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning a secret wedding for later this summer?

Apparently, that’s not true. At least not according to People magazine.

Citing multiple unnamed sources — who, presumably, outnumber the unnamed sources Us quoted — People’s item calls the Brangelina marriage rumors false.

“‘There is no evidence nor any single truth’ to recent published reports that the couple will wed this summer or in the next few months, though the couple remain open to one day tying the knot,” the item says.

Given the skepticism with which I greeted the initial report, can’t say I am surprised. Clearly, this should shut the door on this matter ... at least until another magazine publishes another Brangelina wedding story.
