Bristol Palin’s recent facial makeover prompted speculation last week that the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin may have gotten some plastic surgery done.
But Palin, 20, says that’s not the case.
She tells Us magazine, as reported by the Associated Press, that she underwent corrective jaw surgery in December to allow her jaw and teeth to properly realign.
“Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons,” she says.
She adds: “I wouldn’t get plastic surgery unless I got in an accident or something terrible and got disfigured.”
America will get an opportunity to examine Palin's brand new jaw on a weekly basis this fall, when she stars in a Bio Channel reality series in which she’ll move in with former fellow “Dancing With the Stars” constestant Kyle Massey.
Until then, Palin’s surgery denial should at least put an end to this whole “did she get work done?” debate. Wait, no? Some of you are still going to argue in the comments section about whether she’s telling the truth, while others will find a way to turn this admittedly fluffy story into a political issue? Hey, knock yourselves out.
