Brooke Mueller — the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen and mother of their two-year-old twin boys, Bob and Max — is facing charges of cocaine possession and third-degree assault after an arrest over the weekend in Aspen, Colo.
Mueller, 34, was taken into custory early Saturday morning at Belly Up, an Aspen night club where a Sublime tribute band was reportedly performing, according to the Aspen Times. A woman at the club reportedly told police that the “World According to Paris” co-star had assaulted her. As the Associated Press reports, Mueller was subsequently arrested for the alleged assault and for possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute. She was later released on a $11,000 bond; Radar Online has reported, based on an anonymous source, that Sheen posted his former spouse’s bail money.
Mueller has struggled publicly with addiction and completed a stint in rehab earlier this year. She and Sheen finalized their divorce in May, ending a rocky marriage that included a Christmas Day 2009 incident of alleged domestic violence at their Aspen residence. Sheen ultimately pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor assault in that case.
Mueller and Sheen reportedly still have joint custody of their sons. It’s unclear where the boys were on the night of Mueller’s arrest; Sheen has not yet commented on the situation, on Twitter or elsewhere.
Mueller is due back in court on Dec. 19 for a hearing on the cocaine possession and assault charges.
