Carol Burnett’s openness about her plastic surgery paid off with a surprise phone call from a Hollywood actor, she told Piers Morgan last night.
The comedy legend underwent a procedure in the early ’80s to bring her chin forward, joking to Morgan, “I’ve always wanted that, so if it rains I can feel it.” Her 1983 interview about the surgery with People Magazine brought about a phone call from Marlon Brando, who wanted to ask about her experience for a relative. The conversation turned from surgery to comedy, but in a rotten twist of fate, Burnett had to go to the bathroom. She told Brando that she had a call on the another, nonexistent phone line.
