Charlie Sheen is not dead, despite what the Internet tells you

Social media: The source of the celebrity death rumors that could infect your computer with a virus.

No, Twitter and Facebook. Charlie Sheen is not dead. You could actually have learned that from checking the actor’s own Twitter:. “(warlock: long nap...very much alive)”

“Charlie Sheen is not dead! he just sent me a tweet RT @charliesheen: @JaedollaYo im Still here homie Winning on that T.Blood (cut the bull),” a Twitter user wrote.after learning the news directly from the source.

A Facebook link to fake stories purporting that Charlie Sheen is dead could actually be a malware scam that has been around for some time. Mashable.com has a great rundown of how to spot the virus.

This celebrity death rumor comes shortly after stories of Hugh Hefner’s demise started circulating. He is also not dead. “I'm happy to see how many people are pleased that I'm not dead. I'm pleased, too,” he tweeted.

Yes, the only person in Sheen’s life whose time is dwindling is Charlie Harper, his “Two and a Half Men” character, who is reportedly going to be killed off. And thank goodness, because I’d hate to miss Sheen’s upcoming Comedy Central roast.
