Chaz Bono and Jennifer Elia have ended their engagement and relationship.
“Thanks for your concern about our separation,” the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant tweeted Monday. “I'm doing fine, and we remain on good terms with nothing but respect and affection 4 each other.” Elia sent a similar tweet: “Chaz & I remain great friends and care deeply for each other.”
The longtime couple had been engaged for more than two years. They sealed their commitment with a ring on Bono’s second OWN special, “Being Chaz,” which followed his life after gender reassignment surgery.
A rep for Bono, son of Cher and Sonny Bono, told Gossip Cop, “No further amplification will be forthcoming, and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”
