Chris Noth got married

Chris Noth with Julianna Margulies, his wife on “The Good Wife,” who is not his actual new wife. (JEFFREY NEIRA - CBS)
Chris Noth married his fiancee over the weekend. Which means he now, officially, has a “good wife.”

The star of the CBS drama and the actor formerly known as Mr. Big on “Sex and the City” tied the knot with fiancee Tara Wilson last Friday, People reports. The two met when Wilson worked at Noth’s New York bar, The Cutting Room; they have a 4-year-old son named Orion and had been engaged since 2009.

The wedding reportedly took place in Maui. No word on what Wilson wore during the ceremony, but presumably she did not don a Vivienne Westwood gown or a massive feather in her hair. And clearly Noth didn’t change his mind and speed off in a limo minutes before the ceremony started, prompting Kristin Davis to make the best super-angry-pouty face ever.

However — in keeping with our blurred sense of Noth the real person vs. Big, the fictional character he played on “Sex and the City” the TV show and follow-up films — we trust Wilson is the kind of wife who would be totally thrilled if her husband bought her a flat-screen TV.
