Crystal Harris, the almost bride of “Playboy’s” Hugh Hefner, explained why she called off their wedding just days before the event was set to happen.
In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest Wednesday, Harris explained that she put a stop to the nuptials because “it was the right thing to do.”
“For a while I’ve been having second thoughts about everything,” Harris said. “I haven’t really been at peace with myself lately. I didn’t think it was really fair to him.” Like Hefner, Harris denied reports that the two fought before splitting.
The playmate said the only reason the 85-year-old proposed in the first place was because he thought that’s what she wanted. In fact, Harris said they were both “kind of relieved” the wedding was called off.
Hefner’s tweet — “The breakup is a heart breaker” — seems to indicate otherwise.
