“Glee’s” Darren Criss learned just how far one fan would go to get close to him at a recent Washington, D.C., concert.
As Criss and the rest of the “Glee Live! In Concert!” cast took their final bows Thursday, one fan decided it was now or never to meet Criss. So the Gleek pulled the Warbler offstage by his extended hand and down he went — head first — into the crowd. He was quickly returned to the stage.
Despite the fact that Criss could have been seriously injured, he managed to find some humor in the situation, tweeting this after the concert:
To the lady who pulled me off the stage and into the pit tonight: if I ever see you on a stage... keep your wits about ya. Love, Darren :) !
btw I'm lucky I didn't hit my head on the gate in front of this lady. Seriously close call tonight... Like, please don't kill me. I'm nice.
Watch Criss’s scary tumble off the stage, which happens around the three minute mark, here.
