Demi Moore steps out, seeks suggestions; The Band’s Levon Helm ‘in final stages’ of cancer battle

Demi Moore made her first public appearance since leaving a treatment facility at an event Tuesday to support friend Amanda De Cadenet’s new Lifetime show, “The Conversation.” The actress was hospitalized in January and then treated for “exhaustion,” according to her rep. Moore is also seeking suggestions for a new Twitter handle name. Yes, it’s time for @MrsKutcher to go. (People; @MrsKutcher)

More sad news from the music world. The Band singer-drummer Levon Helm is in “the final stages of his battle” with throat cancer, according to his family. (StyleBlog)

Miley Cyrus went to the hospital Tuesday for a cut finger that required stitches, which the paparazzi diligently photographed. Miffed, she tweeted, “As you can tell by the horrible faces I’m making I obviously didn’t know they were there. Pretty messed up following me to ER.” Indeed. (TMZ; @MileyCyrus)

Mitch Hurwitz, Netflix honcho Ted Sarandos and a few “Arrested Development” cast members talked about the new season of the show (which is really happening!) at an event this week. Among the revelations, Sarandos said all 10 episodes will debut in a single day. (A day I’m going to need off, by the way.) Also: Scott Baio’s Bob Loblaw will be back. (Vulture)
