Just when you think reality television has sunk as low as it’s possible to sink without high-grade drilling equipment, along comes the recent episode of “Toddlers & Tiaras.”
The TLC series — about little girls attempting to act like grown-up glamour pusses and being rewarded for it — is predicated on the notion that treating one’s daughters like mini-Miss Universes is comical and, often, unseemly. But during last night’s episode, one mom (and toddler pageant veteran) pushed things way too far by dressing her 4-year-old daughter like Dolly Parton, complete with fake breasts and padding for her posterior.
Even the girl’s stylist, a person who makes a living by slathering lip gloss on rugrats, found it disturbing.
“I wasn’t a big fan of the outfit with the boobs in it,” he says.
