Emma Stone at the Oscars: When bows attack

How much is too much? How big is too big? As Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart said of pornography, “I know it when I see it,” we know that Emma Stone was wearing way too much bow.

Her fuscia Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress seemed remarkably similar to Nicole Kidman’s red Balenciaga gown from 2007, viewed as one of the greatest gowns of all time (okay, the last decade). But with a bow so large it overtakes the tiny, tiny features on that perfect freckled face, we have to wonder: What she was thinking?

We much prefer the amethyst Lanvin gown she wore to the Golden Globes. Such large accessories should be worn at the waist, not next to such a delicate face.
