When Emma Stone hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the second time this weekend, she was visited by two Spider-Mans: her very charming “The Amazing Spider-Man” co-star Andrew Garfield, and a desperate Andy Samberg dressed in a Spidey-suit.
As Samberg attempted to romance the “Easy A” actress while hanging upside down, Stone asked, “Aren’t you just re-doing the same monologue that Kirsten Dunst did ten years ago?”
The answer: Yes. Dunst played Mary Jane in 2002’s “Spider-Man” and was propositioned in a sketch with Horatio Sanz.
“Aren’t you just doing the exact same ‘Spider-Man’ movie from ten years ago?” Samberg replied.
Thankfully for Stone, Garfield swooped in (not literally) to save her.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” opens next July. Watch the clip, and Dunst’s monolgue, below.
